How sad. 4/7/2011

I've been going to Exchange Factor/Factor Five for almost 20 years! My first piercing was done in the Exchange Factor before a single Factor Five even existed.. Anyway, recently I went in to the shop on Meeting Street with my daughter to get her navel pierced for her 16th birthday, and this hairy creep (with awful breath) was sitting behind the counter with a female co-worker sitting on his hip. He looked at my drivers license and my child's drivers permit and said that although we have the same address, he would not pierce her because we didn't have the same last name. Then he gave me a shpeel about how SC Law states that I must bring in actual proof that she's my kid and that I'm not just some OLDER woman living at the same address?! However, according to a woman I spoke with at DHEC, I only need to show picture ids showing the same address and sign a permission form as her legal guardian. So, besides this 'difference of opinions/facts', he was rude and very condescending. Apparently, this guy just didn't feel like getting off his ass and doing some work. But in reality, I am relieved that he refused our business.. I wouldn't want some dirty creep piercing my daughter's navel anyway. I will no longer be a return customer. I don't want one single penny of mine to go towards this guy's paycheck. more
