Real Mexican food by real Mexicans? Not Quite. 11/13/2005

I have eaten here twice and was totally unimpressed each time. Just because your cooks are Mexican doesn't mean you have real Mexican food. This is Texas, almost every restaurant here has Mexican cooks. Even the Chinese ones. The salsa is too mild. It tastes like chopped canned tomatoes with some cilantro and chili powder added for flavor. The menu consists of the typical Tex-Mex fare that you find at 99% of all Tex-Mex restaurants. The freezerburn aftertaste on the puff chicken tacos I had the second time I was here was a definite clue to freshness of the food. I would have to recommend passing this one up. I've made two strikes here. There won't be a third. more
