When I was a kid we lived across from the KOA! My parents were friends with the Davis' who ran the place then. There used to be wide-opened spaces on the grounds that made it really hot and kinda unsightly at the time. My Dad talked Mr Davis into putting trees in in strategi places. When I left in the 80's, it still had wide open spaced, but have been back and the trees are huge and the place looks great. You can still walk down to the river and sit on the rocks or tread water in certain places - if you look under the water, you'll see the biggest, uglies fish! Not sure what they are but they look like a through back to the dinosaur age!
