Not happy with them anymore 4/9/2006

I used to be a very big fan of the Wal-Mart Portrait Studios at this location but my last visit totally turned me off. Over the last year, we had gone to this location 5 times to get pictures taken of our kids. We had always gotten the package deal for between $5.00 and $8.00. Then we’d always get the 4 additional sheets (different poses) for $40.00. We had purchased this saver card from them that cost I think like $15.00. It lets you have 10% off your total purchase, 10 free cards when you purchase 20, a free sheet of photos and I think a few other things. We’d always pay for the package and then pay the remaining balance when we picked up the photos. We’ll this last time we went this last weekend it seemed like everything changed. For one, they didn’t have a lot of the props we wanted. I had looked online before going to get ideas of pictures we wanted and every time I’d say, do you have this to go with this background, she’d say oh no, I cant find that or I don’t know what happened to this. Then she took the pictures and that part went well. When we went to go pick out the poses we wanted, We told her we wanted to do the 4 sheets for $40.00 with these 4 poses. She said that they no longer allow you to do it that way. It’s 4 sheets for $40.00 still but you can only get 3 poses. That was new to us and kind of annoyed us. We let it slide because we still had that free sheet that came with our card. Then we went to pay and this is where we got mad. She said you don’t get 10% off the cheap package because we used a coupon. Then she said we don’t get 10% off the 4 sheets for $40.00 because those dosents qualify.(that was the main reason we had purchased the card. To get the 10% off things like that) then she said you have to pay for half of everything that day. This is definitely something they should tell you before you get the photos done. They should put up a sign letting people know. We hadn’t planned on having to pay half so it threw us off. I can understand that people get all these photos ordered and then don’t show up to pick them up or change there minds ect, but you’d think that when someone goes as often as we do, that you’d be able to pay less up front because your history with the company shows that you ALWAYS pick up your pictures and pay for them. I’m not sure if it was just the person working there that day or what, but we are definitely going to look into other places to get our pictures taken from now on. more
