Barrio Latino is the type of restaurant you can always count on. It's in the Waterways in Aventura and the food and service are consistent. The wait is always reasonable and the menu has so many options that everyone can find something to eat. Definitely share. Start with the empanadas and mariquitas (plantain chips). They always give you their latin style garlic bread, which is tasty without the garlic too. You just have to ask for it. They have a full bar and the sangria is pretty good. For entrees, their churassco/entrana is great. Definitely share that portion. It's huge. You can choose salad, rice and beans, yuca or plantains as your side dish. My friend always orders the chicharron de pollo. The fish is good too (tilapia) and so are the fajitas. They also have a few vegetarian dishes. Dinner is usually so filling that I have never made it to dessert there.
