If you are strolling along 15th on Capitol Hill and feel a hunger strike, stop by the Coastal Kitchen. The ambiance is laid back (I was entertained by the hanging hats), the servers are friendly and the scallop plate is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. If you have a big sweet tooth, the dessert menu will definitely keep you satisfied. Alcoholic beverages are pretty scrumptious too. I tried my friend's drink, the Vespa and yes indeed... it felt as though I was drinking juice with a kick of mint. If you tend on eating alone, there is a big huge diner-esk seating area right in front of where all the magic happens. The price is kind of on the high end, but try it, you'll like it.
