Going to Opal was another one of my adventurous excursions with the wife on a nice date. Let me start off with the service. The hostess was very friendly and informative. However, the service is somewhat slow. We had to wait 10 min to be greated. I am not sure if it was the kitchen's fault, but the waiter was also not very helpful about the delay of dishes. Now the food is another matter. I had the tender Kobe-beef tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the offerings as well. Sadly, excellent food can be had in plenty of restaurants in Denver and sometimes for a better price. Take my advice and skip Opal.
