This place is really a hidden treasure in Tucson. Centrally located, it is a little hard to find but well worth it. It was recently named Readers Digest top gardens in the U.S. I believe. Anyway, they have extensive collection of desert native plants throughout the large outdoor gardens. Each are meticulously identified for the guests. The recently had a run of an exhibit of butterflies of the world, with an amazing amount of butterflies you could get close to. They set up a large tent for people to enter and take pictures. The kids loved it and I think it was very successful exhibit. They have a good selection of classes you can take weekly, tours and a gift shop. If you are into botanical gardens, this is one that you don't want to miss. Price is great, you can't beat it.
