True Value is a good local hardware store. Prices may be slightly higher that chain stores, but personal service is excellent. When we moved into the area we received a coupon from them for a free garbage can. They didn't have any at the time so we were put on a waitlist. They did end up calling when it was in. They were knowledgable and helpful with new home questions.
