I got a few bids to have two neighboring stumps ground in 2002. The bids ranged from $100 to $170. I chose an Orting company [the $100 bid]. This company is owned by one man. He did a great job for me and I would recommend him. I don't know how far he is willing to drive - he came from Orting to my Federal Way home without any additional travel cost. The stumps I had removed were right by the sidewalk, so the access was easy from the street. I don't know how expensive it would be to grind a stump in the back yard, for example.
