Fairway is a wonderful place to get meats and fish on the upper west side. The selection is always fresh and the veggies just can't be beat. General grocery items are limited in scope and fairly pricey but otherwise this market is the one to beat. It never takes more than a few minutes to check out because they have so many stations (if they are a bit surly) and they really know how to direct the traffic to get you through in minutes.
