*Those people* go to Fire and Ice. You know, *them*. That kind of people. They dress and talk like *that*.
Well, it isn't all yuppies, but there are more than a few. And if you can get past the people, the prospect of an all-you-can-eat build-your-own-meal place is actually rather appetizing.
The big attraction is that you can spoon any kind of food from little serving bowls into a little bowl of your own, and then watch as a trained professional empties your bowl onto a big, circular oven right out there in the open and cooks it. Also you can cook it with lots of different kinds of sauces.
That's about it; but, hey, you can keep going back and putting more stuff in bowls for the chefs, and they don't seem to mind. (I've never stayed for more than three or four rounds; maybe they -do- start to mind after a while.)
When full, it can get loud; and it's often hot near the oven. Oh well. It's never too bad that you can't hear anyone, and since it's in Boston you can usually just throw yourself outside if you're desperate for cold.
The desserts are good, though not earthshattering (and not unlimited.)
Don't go for the atmosphere; go for the food!
