I called and asked for a review of our water. I specifically had two requirements ... first, I wanted to reduce the amount of Iron in our water and second that I did not want a system that required salt.
The sales rep visited and gave me a canned speech about water softeners. It included visual tricks such as making a cup of tea and swishing some ivory soap in some water samples. He made a compelling case that I needed a water softener. In the end, he pulled out a pricing sheet showing the "Good - Better - Best" options for water softening. All of these included salt based back-washing.
After he left, I realized that I asked for one thing and he told me that I needed another. As I will never do business with them, I cannot rate them other than to say that the entire process had a feeling of dishonestly.

We do carry the salt free systems like you were looking for but unfortunately with your bad water quality this type of technology wouldn't have performed to your expectations so that's why our water specialist showed you the other options.
