I recently went in to look at washers at Dick Van Dyke. Their 10 year warranty initially attracted me to their store. The salesman Lee was very helpful in the store in pointing out the benefits and drawbacks of the different washers I was interested in. Once we decided to buy both a washer and dryer I was less impressed with his salesmanship as when I called to reserve the appliances he discouraged me from returning to the store (I said I would be there before they closed that evening) and wanted everything done immediately over the phone. In retrospect I feel that pressure was due to my desire to negotiate and prevent me from looking at things in writing prior to paying. When the machines were delivered, the discount I thought we had agreed upon was not deducted from the price.
Our washer and dryer was delivered on time and the installer was professional, courteous and answered our questions. We are enjoying using our new appliances, but will not return to their store to buy again.
