Overpriced. 11/16/2016

I called Alpine Climate Control, Inc. because my igniter went out over the weekend. I was working night shifts down at the mine, so I couldn't be here during the day. I asked if they charged more money to come out on the weekend, they said no, just the $100+ they normally charge for any service call. They got the job done. They put in a new igniter. It wasn't the one I needed, but it worked. They had to cut and splice the cords together. They ended up charging me like $450. They said the igniter part was more than $300. I was shocked. After they were here, I called 4 other places to see if that was the going rate. They all said they would have charged me between $200-$250 for the service call. I called Alpine to talk to the manager about it. The owner was supposed to call me back, but he hasn't. The other 4 places said that the igniter part would have been between $60-$80, but not more than $80. I would not recommend this company to others. RESPONSE FROM Alpine Climate Control, Inc.: Dear Mr. Hutton, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I am sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. We try to price fairly.
