Absolutely the worst company to work with if you have issues with your appliance after purchasing. We purchased a GE washer that was a lemon from the start. They came out 3 times and tried to fix,(had to wait 1 -2 weeks each time) completely rebuilding it with new parts. Technicians never could figure out what was wrong. Went back to store and asked if we could purchase a different new washer and if they would give us a small discount on the new ($100-$200 was all I was asking). I paid over $900 for it plus I was going to purchase a new $800 machine as well. They would not give any discount. Service Manager said it had to have 5 service calls in a year before they would even listen to us. Tried to tell them the machine doesn't even work and the technicians said they have no idea what is wrong. I got tired of waiting for a technician to show up and say he doesn't know what is wrong. DO NOT PURCHASE From Dick Van Dyke, go to someone who stands behind their customer service promises. Service Manager said we could call GE and complain to them but she cannot help us at all what kind of a company is that. RESPONSE FROM Dick Van Dyke Appliance World: I apologize for any issues that may have led to your negative review of our company. I am a little confused by your review because your washing machine was repaired at no cost to you and is working fine. The first time we came to your house the machine was not staying balanced properly, and we repaired the shocks. The second time you called us out was about four weeks later and said the machine quit working. Each repair was covered at no cost to you and was repaired as quickly as we could obtain the parts. When you called our Customer service manager and asked for cash towards a new appliance we explained our warranty doesn’t offer a cash buy back option. You indicated that you understood the protection plan but just wanted a new machine.
