I go to Margie Beegle estate sales on a weekly basis and have done so since I found their sales as a freshman a few years ago. As a new college student, I decided to take my limited spending money and increase it. I did this first by buying stuff from garage sells and selling them on amazon and ebay. Finding out that my unusual buys were desirable to collectors, I expanded my shopping to estate sales and found Margie Beegle sales which I use to stock my little etsy store. \r

To begin, unlike most estate sales in the area, all of Margie's sales actually have an HPD officer working security as opposed to most others who just say they have security because they have guys working there. Then, the house is set up in a manner where its not hard to find stuff. Some companies just open up the house and have people dig to find anything and the company didn't know it was there (has happened to me a few times around town). Some people freak out when they hear that the employees cannot help people move furniture; personally, I have not had a problem with this because they explained to me that employees are not covered under the company's liability and it is not hard to get people to help move stuff with you, other customers help too. \r

They use experts to price things with the intention of the price starting at half of retail, on the second day of a sale, things are discounted so if something was a good deal on the first day, its a great deal on the second... IF IT IS STILL THERE. Several times, I have gone on the morning of the 1st day and found a really interesting item but wasn't sure about the price vs. resale. I get home, look it up, and find out I can triple or quadruple my money with ease. I go back the morning of the second day and it is gone. You have to buy interesting when you see it.\r

In conclusion, I will keep coming back to Margie Beegle Sales at least until I graduate next year, hopefully for years to come. I hope to see you there, too!
