So went in for an interview with a clearly new and clueless recruiter. She said she has tons of positions that I qualified for but kept pushing to get my references. I gave her a few reluctantly and asked her not to attempt to solicit them. She agreed..then called them and the 1st on she got a hold of she tried to solicit to use her services. Directly before this i had called her for an update and she started talking about job types (sales) that I told her I wasn't interested in during the interview. She basically just looked at my resume again and assumed..had no notes as she took none in our interview. Finally got fed up with this, called another recruiter and explained the story to her..she didn't even apologize that this lady was incompetent, just defended her saying shes really good but new. Yeah so good she did the one thing I asked her not to and used my references as a contact point for more sales. Then the new lady I spoke with proceeded to say the the job I applied to didn't even exist and they had no positions I would be a good fit for even though I scored it the top percentile on all their tests. Yes it's not difficult to see they were just trying to fill the database and get more contacts to solicit. Reality is that employers prefer to steal employees from other companies, not to employ an unemployed person. Therefore, TRAK gets you to fill out a reference list of employed people to call and recruit. I was also a reference for a friend applying there and they didn't call me because I was unemployed at the time. Also, during the interview process with them, half the people in the waiting room were covered in tattoos and wearing flip flops and shorts..one guy was so obese he looked like he needed to be rushed to the hospital as he stop breathing a few times sitting there.
