I had my basement done about three years ago by JH Basement Finish. At the time of interview, Joe gave me an info packet that had a lot of reading materials on recouping my investment and national averages and standards. To be honest I didn't read through the whole thing because I was just interested in getting my basement done the way I wanted for the amount of money I wanted with the quality I wanted. Recently, my wife and I put our house on the market and it sold for the full asking price on the first day it was on the market - the new owners said it was the basement that ""Sold them."" So now after enjoying my basement for three years I get out of it every cent I put into it. That reading material is pretty valuable.
