We were told about this restaurant by a friend because I had told him how I like the Paris Bistro in Sugarhouse. Apparently Sea Salt is owned by the same person, the service is nowhere as good and the food is just okay. I ordered the orecchiette al sugo di mare, basically pasta with sea food. The dish was supposed to have crab, clams, mussels, and calamari in the pasta. When I got my food the waitress said,""mussels were out of season and the chef gave me more clams as a substitute"". I said, ""that was fine I don't really care for mussels all that much anyway."" The waitress left, and as I started eating my food I noticed there wasn't any calamari and only a small amount of crab in my pasta. By the time the waitress came back to check on us [because she was not all that attentive] I had finished. So I asked her if calamari was also out of season because there was not any in my pasta. She said, ""I don't know I'll check with the chef."" She returned and said, ""no there should have been calamari in your pasta, I'm sorry if there wasn't."" I did not ask to be comped nor did she offer. It just seems she did not believe me because I had already eaten my food, because I was hungry, and it was good even if it did not have mussels or calamari in it. Maybe they should rename the dish orecchiette al sugo di clams with a little bit of crab. I won't be going back because I did not care for the service, and my impression is that they only want to cater to the upscale bohemian clientele [or in other words they are snobs].\r more
