We are very dissatisfied with DVD due to their lack of follow up on damage caused to our kitchen floor. All we are asking for us for is someone they recommend to come out to repair our floor. They wanted us to turn it in to our insurance company. We shouldn't have to have a claim on our record because of damage that is their fault.
RESPONSE FROM Dick Van Dyke Appliance World:
We apologize for the water damage associated with your refrigerator ice maker. Our service technician replaced a water valve on your refrigerator and documented that the ice maker water lines were frozen. Our records indicate that you opted to thaw the water lines yourself to save the labor associated with the additional repair. The floor wasn't damaged when we left the home after the water valve replacement. When the water lines eventually thawed that's when the water started to leak. If we had been given the opportunity to complete the entire repair the water leak could have been prevented. Unfortunately, you will need to turn this over to your homeowners insurance to repair your damaged floor. We appreciate your patronage and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
