Editorial review from Citysearch 11/2/2013

My first time at a Men's Wearhouse. I found a nice suit at a good price but I should have taken it somewhere else for the alterations. The woman did not know how to do a blind hem stitch for the pants cuff. There was a visible hemline deeply pressed 2 inches up from the cuff. She apparently doesn't know how to use a press cloth or an ironing ham? It looked completely unprofessional. The cuffs on the sleeves were equally bad, uneven with bulges. She told me I wasn't used to fine fabric. What does that have to do with the fact that you can't tailor a garment? She pinked the trouser legs after I asked her not to. The whole jacket needed to be pressed to get creases out. A totally amateur job and experience. Even the manage admitted that everything was a mess and to come back when the other tailor was on duty but I needed it that night. I've had over 30 pairs of pants professionally hemmed and at least 15 suits in my life. Never have I had such a horrible experience with tailoring and the person doing it. more
