Went to Ghittone on 8/2/12 and had a wonderful experience. The owner was also the server, the receptionist, the bartender, which provided a very personal experience. The restaurant is quaint, small and intimate located on Washington Ave. The food was amazing. We were given fresh baked bread and spicy marinara after being seated and ordered the calamari fritti to start. The calamari was fresh, lightly battered and fried-- not heavily battered and overly fried with old grease like many other restaurants. My boyfriend ordered the baked gnocchi with meat sauce, which was extremely smooth and cheesy and delicious. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and asked for mushrooms in the dish as well-- it was delicious, cooked to perfection. The two couples that left while we were in the restaurant also ranted and raved about their meals on their way out. Would definitely recommend.
