Called Dick Van Dyke on a Friday morning at approximately 9am for a service call. They indicated the soonest they could have someone out was the following Tuesday. When I mentioned there ad indicated if request for service was called before noon, service was guaranteed the same day. The service rep then indicated they did have an opening for that day. Technician arrived later that day at 4pm and informed me the motor would need replaced. I opted to receive a $25 certificate towards the purchase of new appliance from Dick Van Dyke. Purchased a new appliance by 10 the next day. They however could not deliver the same day because the merchandise was in the Springfield store. Disappointed they could not deliver on their promise of same day delivery. RESPONSE FROM Dick Van Dyke Appliance World: we apologize for any inconvenience that we may caused by not delivering your appliance the same day it was purchased. Our advertising states that we offer "same day delivery" on in-stock items. Unfortunately your appliance wasn't available locally and it required an extra day to get the appliance and deliver it.
