There are a lot of upscale, excellent restaurants in Buckhead but even here, people want something more casual. The Raja fits the bill. You can get your Indian food hot, medium, or mild: I like it mild, my husband likes it medium. The naan is the best I've eaten anywhere. The Chicken Tikka Masala is uniquely delicious: rich but you don't care. We've dined here for years and seldom been disappointed. The wait staff are friendly and informal. Finally, the mural in the ladies' rest room is beautiful and evokes the spirit of India. This restaurant is casual but first-rate.
I see some reviewers have said the food is horrible. I do not understand this. We, my husband and I, are fans of Indian food and this is our favorite Indian restaurant in the Atlanta area.
