We wanted to have a beautiful outdoor wedding in June. I wanted vines and water and grass and I wanted everything to be white and princess-esque. The Heritage Garden delivered!! I loved it from the moment I walked in. My family was worried that it would be too hot out to have a June wedding but it was perfect! Right by the water and completely shaded, none of the guests got hot or sweaty. We didn't have our reception there (and reading some reviews I'm glad we didn't) Instead, we wanted to have a custom reception in my parents back yard, which was PERFECT.
The photographer was great and energetic, my family and wedding party loved him!
On the flip side, it was rather confusing to me who I was working with as my planner since the original girl left or got fired and I wasn't informed. I just got an email from another girl in response to my email to my planner, just as if it had never happened and she was the planner all along... Resulting from this, she didn't really know what I was looking for or planning so when rehearsal came, it got a little frustrating. Also, you only get 30 min. to rehears and getting a whole wedding party complete with kids to go where they need to go and do what they need to do in 30 min. is a little unrealistic so wee spent an hour or so in my parents backyard and then went to the venue for the final run thru, this caused some confusion with the new planner cause she was trying to micro-manage and didn't get the fact that we were going to do it our way.
The florist is AMAZING! I had one appointment with her and went through her flip book to show her my ideas, she was very educational and would let me know if a certain flower looked a little different in person and wouldn't go with the others or my dress. She got the general idea of what I wanted in about 15 min and when I received my flowers the day of the wedding, I almost cried! It was exactly what I wanted, even tho at the time I really didn't know what I wanted (I'm not knowledgeable on flowers AT ALL, the first time I had seen 80% of the flowers I chose was looking through her flip-book)
I was very impressed by the pictures, just a side note, ask him not to do too much photo-shop. Some of them were a little to plastic looking but 99% of them were gorgeous!
We were most impressed by the price, we got:
-the venue
-the planner
-the pictures (with CD)
-the flowers
for around $2,000!
It has been almost a year and we occasionally look at our pictures. I don't have one regret about any of it, I loved my wedding, I wish I could do it all again!
