My sons were roughhousing around the house and one of the trip over the power cord on my new dell laptop ripping the receptacle from the computer. I called dell and they told me I'd likely need to the replace the motherboard and gave a quote of almost $850. Keep in the mind the whole computer cost $1300 and was only a few months old! I called computer overhauls and right over the phone they gave me a range from $179-$229. I stopped in the later that afternoon, walked right in and after a few customers ahead of me finished I was seen right away. Brian examined the computer and checked out the rest of the laptop confirming the DC appeared to be the only issue from the damage. He said they'd have to order the part and it's be a few days until it was ready. At that point he gave me a exact quote of $189. Four days later I got a call it was done.
