I have spent thousands of dollars at Dick Van Dyke Appliance World since buying my first house. They have been a very good company to deal with until now! A washer we bought from them two years ago almost to the day has stopped working. The service tech has came out to the house multiple times and has done a great job trying to fix the washer with no results. This service tech has went through every step of diagnosis while on the phone with the manufacturer themselves. Now after not working for weeks and catching on fire the service manager informs me that this is all under one complaint and does not qualify for "No Lemon" warranty!!!! So they are going to send another service tech out!!!! This company has easily spent enough money to buy this washer with the multiple trips out they replaced the main control board and the main capacitor (after it melted down releasing molten metal out)!!!!! Basically after this experience I don't think we will be buying from them ever again!!!
RESPONSE FROM Dick Van Dyke Appliance World:
Mr. Fulcher I am sorry that you feel your experience with our service department wasnt productive. My Customer service supervisor reviewed your service history and didnt feel your appliance qualified for our exclusive No lemon exchange. Our policies at Dick Van Dyke Appliance World enable us to have two people review the situations surrounding a possible no lemon exchange. We have this policy in place to ensure that we are giving customers the best possible service. When our service manager reviewed your service history, he concurred with your assessment that the machine did qualify for an exchange. Therefore, we have scheduled the No Lemon worry free exchange for October 26, 2012. Thank you for your patronage, and we hope that you have many years of use out of your new washer.
Sincerely,
John Shepherd
