This was my experience dealing with this company.
I had a single lever shower valve start to leak. After checking Lowes and Home depot without any luck I checked the internet and found Kraftwood Plumbing co was located close to me and they dealt in hard to find stuff. I disassembled the valve cartridge and brought it with me in order to be assured they would know what I needed. I was greeted by Irving who looked at what I brought in and went into a back room and came out with what I thought was the correct replacement. Trusting that he knew what he was doing I payed for the parts and went home to install them. The install should have been straight forward. 10min job. After installing the cartridge I turned the water back on and the cartridge leaked worse than the original one. Thinking that maybe I was doing something wrong I screwed around with this thing for quiet awhile before coming to the conclusion that the part might be defective. At that time I also got on the web and did some research which led me to believe the part was not defective but the wrong part altogether. Back to Kraftwood I went. I had a pdf from the manufacturer of the shower valve with pictures and model numbers of what I actually needed. After showing Irving that the parts he sold me were wrong and why as well as giving him the manufacturers part numbers, he told me he would order the parts since he didn't have it. Said it would take 2 days. Fine. I wait 2 days and nothing. No call. I'm a patient person so I wait. 6 days go by still nothing. So I call. Irving tells me the parts are here. I've been living with limited water service since the valve failed. If we wanted to run water, flush toilets, do laundry we had to go down into the basement and turn the water on from the main valve since my house doesn't have individual water shutoffs anywhere in the house. as long as the water is turned on, water is flowing out of the bad shower valve. So I stop by on my way home from work to pick the parts up. Starting to learn from my past mistakes I very closely examined the parts Irving gave me and compared them to the old as well as the manufacturers pictures I had on my smartphone. They were the wrong parts...again. I showed Irving...again why they were wrong. He was extremely rude. Kept saying he didn't understand why. at this point I couldn't stand it anymore. I needed to get the shower valve fixed. I simply asked for my money back. He asked for my receipt which I didn't have with me so I had to go back. In the mean time I ordered the correct part from a plumbing supply place located in Brooklyn New York. They took my order over the phone and delivered the correct parts in 2 days. Parts came and in 10min were installed. Worked perfect. Now..back to Kraftwood I went with my receipt. They gave me my money back but without an apology what so ever. I came to them in good faith. Offered them my business. When they gave me the wrong part I gave them the opportunity to make it right. They didn't. I hope that anyone who reads this will steer clear of this place. If I can save someone else the time and aggravation I had to go through then this long review will have been worth the time. Also, I was charged $130 for the parts at Kraftwood. The parts from the Plumbing supply place in Brooklyn New York came to $78 this included shipping. I initially went to Kraftwood because they were close by and when possible I would prefer to support local businesses. Sometimes going local is not always the best. I'm amazed they are in business.
