I JUST FINISHED READING THE REVIEW BY ""toomann"" dated 01/30/2012. I CAN APPRECIATE HOW FRUSTRATED HE WAS IN TRYING TO FIX HIS SINGLE LEVER SHOWER VALVE. I WORKED FOR A PLUMBING REPAIR SERVICE FOR OVER 15 YEARS AND UNDERSTAND HOW DIFFICULT IT CAN BE TO REPAIR AN OLD FIXTURE, EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE THE PROPER PARTS. EVERYTHING HAS TO BE INSTALLED JUST RIGHT OR THE LEAK CONTINUES OR GETS WORSE.
THE REVIEW INDICATED THAT THE CUSTOMER TOOK THE OLD PARTS INTO KRAFTWOOD AND WAS GIVEN THE WRONG PARTS. I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER DID HE INSPECT/COMPARE THE PARTS? IF HE DID, THEN HE WAS SOLD THE PROPER REPAIR PARTS AND EITHER WAS'NT INSTALLING THEM PROPERLY ,OR IT IS A REMOTE POSSIBILITY, THAT THE NEW PARTS WERE DEFECTIVE. NEITHER WAY, HIS ANGER WAS DIRECTED IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.
TRUST ME, IRVING KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. HE HAS FORGOTTEN MORE ABOUT PLUMBING FIXTURE REPAIR THAN MOST PEOPLE KNOW. HE AND HIS SON SPECIALIZE IN BOTH COMMON AND HARD TO FIND PARTS. I ALSO KNOW THAT IRVING WOULD'NT LET SOMEONE OUT OF THE SHOP UNLESS HE EXPLAINED THE PROPER WAY TO INSTALL THE PARTS. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND KRAFTWOOD SUPPLY TO ANYONE. I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THAT WHEN THEY WENT DOWN TO THE SALES COUNTER, THAT THEY LEAVE THEIR KNOW IT ALL EGOS AT THE DOOR, SHUT UP, AND MAYBE YOU CAN LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT PLUMBING REPAIR. IRVING IS NOT A RUDE MAN, BUT I'M WILLING TO BET THAT HE HAD A HARD TIME LISTENING TO AN ANGRY MAN WHO WAS TRYING TO BLAME HIM FOR HIS PLUMBING PROBLEMS.I GUARANTEE HIS ONLY DESIRE WAS TO HELP THE CUSTOMER FIX THE PROBLEM. WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?
