Went into the Bar while walking the waterfront. Ordered 3 coffees, one with Kahlua. Price was $10.20 +/=. Gave bartender $20. Change came back exactly $2.00 short. Asked bar-back to speak to bar tender a moment. Her response: ""Why do you want to talk to her?"" Obviously, either it is a standard procedure to short change tourists and they expect a few of them to catch the fact, or the bar-back and bar tender were ""significant others"" and the bar-back was instantly protective of the bar tender when another woman asked to speak to her. In either case, the attitude was unacceptable and reflects very poorly on service in the Seattle area. I am reminded of the the scene from ""Lonesome Dove"" where Gus busts the bartender's head and says ""One thing I can't tolerate is a surly bartender."" Ladies, you wouldn't make it long in my state.
