Totally Tried to Rip Me Off!!! 8/24/2011

I took my 2004 Porsche Cayenne S to have the driver's side turn signal light bulb replaced. I felt I probably could have done it myself, but I had the money and didn't want to. So, I took it to Hitech Automotive. They had done my inspections for about 10 years, so I thought I would give their service a try. When I got my car back and $400 later to replace one light bulb, ALL the lights, headlights, turn signal, high beams and the side turn signal, did not work on the passenger's side. If you have a Porsche, you know that the dash board pretty much tells you when ANYTHING in the car is not working. When I called them back, just as soon as I got home, the owner told me that, ""Oh, this just happens with German automobiles."" Okay, I might be blonde but I'm certainly not stupid. I told him I highly disagreed. But what else could I do? Now, I thought, the car will not even pass inspection...Great. Well, I did some home auto repair and replaced the passenger side's turn signal bulb, since it was easiest to get to, to no avail. Before I took it to another shop, having heard horror stories of $1200 headlight replacements on my clients' German cars, my boyfriend and I again took apart a large portion of the front end and, low and behold, the entire headlight assembly was DISCONNECTED. I'm sure it did not become disconnected my itself. I guess the guys at Hitech just thought I'd be dumb enough to bring it back to 'have them fix' this, too. I guess they chose the wrong 'dumb' girl to try to pull the wool over. I will NEVER trust them to fix anything of mine again....And neither should you!! more
