Goodwill San Mateo Tests Then Sells Broken Electronics 5/2/2011

Goodwill San Mateo RIipped Me Off !! And not just me! The manager's name is Noel, and he personally and knowingly puts broken, expensive -looking stereo equipment right at the front of the store knowing it's broken. I asked him repeatedly if the unit had been bench tested before I bought it and he assured me it was, and that it was fine as far as they knew. I said I was willing to take my chances for this $50 piece since they had tested it. I came back within the hour - because when I took it home it ""powered up"" - but there was clearly no display - and they absolutely refused to give me a refund! And hey, Goodwill Corporate - I warned this manager, Noel, that the difference between $46 cash and $46 store credit would be this 1 star review of your store, and he didn't seem to think that mattered at all. zero business ethics, (and a real misunderstaniding of the power of the 'net to expose stuff like this). more
