My wife comes home all the time with new stuff. Our house is already overflowing and I usually freak out, but she'll just say "$1.99 at Goodwill, 59 cents at Goodwill, couldn't pass it up". My kids have a huge book selection at home and it's almost 80% from Goodwill. The stuff is in good condition because it is mostly donated by the middle class residents of San Mateo and Foster City that have just moved on to something else and my wife has actually sold stuff that my kids have outgrown for a profit! And I manage to sneak out a few garbage bags full of things to donate. It's a good cause and it's often all the charity I can manage in the past few tight years.
