My boyfriend and I stayed at this establishment on January 2, 2011 (room 235) after being on a cruise ship for a few days. We decided to take an extra day and visit St. Augustine. We did read the terrible reviews on this hotel but decided to give it a chance anyway. We checked in about 4 hours early and the receptionist was very nice and accomodating about it. They worked hard to give us a great room, which was extremely clean and obviously newly remodeled. I have to say I was nervous about staying here after the poor reviews, but was extremely pleased with our room and all staff we dealt with. All I can say is to give it a chance. It was a nice, clean room with a ocean view at a very reasonable price. Remember this is an older beachfront hotel, it will not be without the wear and tear of ocean damage.
