We stayed in Bear Lodge, the three-story building behind the Main Lobby/Lodge. Our room on the second floor overlooked the river and mountains. It was clean, new, and nicely decorated in the bear theme. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was more than adequate. The staff was friendly and competant It's more expensive than the other lodges in the park but it offers nice amenities. We sat in the lounge by the fireplace and had a drink. There was live music at night. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised.
