To make a long story short- My cat who had been a patient of Southside Animal Hospital for the past 14 years was at the end of her life. I had called to speak with Dr. Shaver about the possiblity of euthanising my cat in the home. I was told by the receptionist that if I wanted to talk to Dr. Shaver, it would cost me $43.00. I explained to the receptionist that I just had a question about end of life for my cat- the doctor refused to speak to me. I consequently fired this place and found a wonderful and caring animal hospital that treated me and my cat with the dignity and respect we deserved. My cat died peacefully in the comfort of her home and I am grateful that I could provide that for her.
