I'm from Los Angeles and went to many places here in the city to have my highlites touched up and not one place-no matter what I paid --ever got it right. THAT IS UNTIL I FOUND RITA!!!!! Everything you read about her is true- she's very sweet, knowledgeable, understanding of your dilemma and goes about fixing your hair in a very zen manner. She's a beauty specialist who brings a realistic approach to your own beauty. I would have paid 1000 dollars for her, she's that good. But luckily the bill was very affordable, and I have been back to her 4 times already. Her work is just beautiful and my hair really IS HEALTHIER than its ever been. Her baliage technique and hi-lo lighting is really superb.I even had a makeover with her to change my look a bit for my new job. I'm in fashion and needed a makeup/hair re-vamping. She made it all so easy for me to duplicate. I can't tell you how many compliments I get every day on my entire new look! That's the proof for me. Here's the catch, though- you have to make an appointment with RITA so you have to ask for her DIRECT LINE. I didn't know this and was given the run-around by the front desk for two weeks before I was given her number. They even tried to give me (it felt like bullying) to someone else! I held out for her and I'm one of her many clients for life. Astor in general is a great fun place to get your hair done, but RITA is definitely the main attraction and go-to girl for overall "beautification"!
