This is a real old-timey hardware store with just about everything under the sun. If you need it, they generally have it, and the selection of hardware is the best I've seen in Nashville. Any kind of odd item, you can most often find there. But all good things come to an end, I suppose. Today, the owner told me the economy, plus the big chains like Home Despot and Lowes, have taken their toll. Johnson's may be calling it quits next year. Lastly, cat lady is off her rocker (see below). I've been going to Johnson's Hardware for years, and I've never seen an animal mistreated. The back of the store always has food and water for the cat.
