Follow up call - bad receptionist 10/18/2011

The stylist and her assistant were very kind and professional. I was happy with their work. However there was a point when they poured toner on my head after washing that caused my scalp to instantly start itching. They rinsed it off and it settled down. A few hours later it was itching again. I called the salon to find out what was in the toner that could cause my scalp to itch. I was extremely disappointed in the receptionist, Holly, who informed me that there were millions of ingredients and that if it still itched after washing my hair again to go see my doctor. She couldn't provide me with any more assistance. Really inconsiderate and unhelpful. Super disappointed as I'm sure the first thing any doctor would want to know is WHAT did you put on your head? And... who wants to run to a doctor because of an Aveda product? I thought they were atleast mostly safe. There should be a Material Safety Data Sheet for harmful products. Or a kind ear to assure you that what was poured on your head isn't harmful and I will fax or email you the ingredients so you can verify. more
