There is a saying, ""fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."" This is exactly how I felt after dining at Chez Leon for the second time. Me and my girlfriend had a horrible experience the first time, but our server was so nice and accommodating that we decided to go back and try it again with a groupon that we had purchased a while back. The second time was slightly better, but not by much. We arrived at the restaurant around 6:00 and we were immediately sat at a nice cozy table in the back. We were waiting for probably around 5 minutes before a waiter comes from the front and asks ""What can I get you to drink?"" The way he said it was just very rude and condescending, as if we were inconveniencing him. We asked him about the wines by the glass and by the bottle, and he could not give us an informative answer about any of them. After a minute of him stumbling over the wines by the bottle, I ordered a martini and my girlfriend ordered a glass of champagne. After dropping off our drinks, our waiter brought menus and took our dinner orders. I ordered the duck breast medium temp, and my girlfriend ordered the strip steak medium rare. Then we waited. It took 35 minutes for our entrees to finally come out, and the restaurant had only two other tables sitting down! The entree dishes were awful. My girlfriends steak was medium well, was very thin and tough, and just tasted bland. The fries that came with the meal were soggy and had no flavor. My duck was rare, and the ""orange sauce"" did not taste like any orange sauce I have ever had. I did not even want to take anything home it was so awful. After ""dinner"" I asked for the check and saw the prices for our drinks. Sixteen dollars for a glass of champagne, 10 dollars for an extremely poor gin beefeater martini, and $15 for a glass of white wine which I just saw at whole foods for $18 a bottle. Bad food, bad service, and bad prices.
