We’ve taken our pets (Multiple dogs & cats) here for over 12 years but we’ve had pets for over 30 years. He has had special breed knowledge on Great Danes and 4lb Poms that has helped us. Past Vets we used would hurry, try to sell us expensive treatments or play on emotions. Not Dr. Onishi. He will completely explain 2-3 varied treatments options, cover the pros & cons of each with the success rates & possible negatives and let you choose an option that fits. He always has a “Plan B” and explains that before you start on “Plan A” so you’re never surprised. I’ve never had a Vet do so much research to be sure our pets are getting the correct treatment. While he is very current on all the new treatments and specialty Vets, many times he will suggest a less expensive treatment from an old school perspective that works great. After tougher treatments he’ll call you at home/cell to check up on the pet, sometimes after 8:00PM at night and weekends. We tell friends and co-workers about Dr. Onishi & his excellent caring staff and only trust them with our own pets.
