I have been wearing prescription glasses for the past 45 years, and have never had as bad an experience with poor quality AND service as I received from this vendor. For the first time in many years my corrective lens prescription changed last year, and I went looking for new designer frames.
The first frame broke in less than a month, two days before I was to leave for Hawaii. The fault was poor workmanship, not abuse.
The store informed me that neither they, or the manufacturer had another pair of those frames, and after much discussion agreed to switch the frames to a similar shaped pair of titanium frames. The lenses were switched, but because they had not been properly ground for the new frames, had to go back a second time. Now less than one year later, they had to replace the temple pieces because the color had peeled off the plastic ends.
I have written two letters regarding my problems with this store to the chairman of Cohen's Optical, who has not had the good sense to even respond to my complaint.
I am currently awaiting my new frames from another optical shop, and will put these aside as back-up. As far as I'm concerned, Cohen's Optical is a chain to avoid at all costs.
