I had previously posted a negative review of Eagle Transmission for what we perceived to be a misleading discussion that did not disclose the total cost to determine the problem with our car and subsequently return it to a drivable condition if we opted not to make repairs. If we had been told the total amount needed to return our car to us in working order (whether or not we chose to have repairs), we would not have pursued work in the first place. We were upset for this reason, as well as our treatment after expressing frustration about the service.
I was contacted the day after posting a review and threatened with a slander lawsuit if I did not remove the negative review. Eagle Transmission later posted a response on this site using full names (in 5-star review form) accusing us of illegal activity.
Due to our problems with our service, we decided not to allow Eagle Transmission to make any repairs or complete further work. We had our car (still broken) towed to our driveway. The transmission is currently in pieces in our garage. Approximately 1 ? hours before picking up our car, we were contacted by Eagle and told that they would only accept cash as legal tender for our transaction, even though it is clearly posted on the door of the business (and at the front counter) that credit cards were accepted. This resulted in a last-minute ATM visit to try to avoid the additional storage fees that would be assessed if the car was left overnight.
I am extremely disappointed by our experience with Eagle Transmission and would not recommend it to others.
