We tried out this restaurant because it was close to our hotel in the Financial District. The service was great, and our waiter was very attentive.
We started with the veggie samosas which nice and hot. Between us we ordered sag goshi, chicken vindaloo, bengan bartha, and spinach naan. The dinner was served with two small dishes of rice which we assumed came with the dinner, since rice has been included in the price of every other meal I've ever had at Indian restaurants in my home town. The rice for the dinner cost $12. Ask them not to bring rice, because the rice was not worth $12.
The vindaloo had taste but not a lot of heat. Even if you specify spicy, be warned that this dish may not contain the kick you're expecting from a vindaloo. The other dishes were good, but nothing could really offset the fact that we just paid $12 for rice.
Other than feeling overcharged for the rice, the rest of the evening was pleasant enough. Again, don't expect a lot of heat on the vindaloo, but the food is otherwise well prepared and presented.
Pros: Nice atmosphere & polite staff
Cons: They charge for the rice
