Not only is Brouwers rude toward non-americans (see Bazzer1978's review below), they are down right racist.
My wife tried to take me here for my 30th birthday. I was very excited to drink some great Belgian beer and try the frites. That was, until the tatted up, black-clad (seriously, he had black sunglasses and a black sweatband, wtf?), hard-core wannabe asked for ID. My ID passed fine, but when he saw my wife's green card he said, ""We don't accept that ID here."" Wait, what? It's a Federal ID. How can you not accept it? ""The State Liquor Board can fine us."" 100% Bull@#$%! You mean you don't want to let in my wife because she's a latina even though that green piece of plastic was bought and paid for with hard earned American dollars and is 100% legal? ""We don't take that ID here."" Well, they take it everywhere else. How do I know? Because I read the State Liquor Board Charter, not to mention that we went to another restaurant pub that same evening and my wife got in just fine.
I'm just glad we found out how ignorant the people at this place were before we ate their food. If you want great beer and fries, go to Fred Meyer, pick up a bottle of Chimay and grab some fries from Dick's on the way home. It's Seattle without the ignorant @#$% at the door!
Pros: nothing worth mentioning
Cons: racists
