My husband and I spent three weeks travelling from NYC to New Orleans as part of a long-awaited honeymoon funded by the guests at our wedding. Throughout the trip, we bought 38 postcards, one for each guest who had helped us on our way. Saving them all up, we arrived at New Orleans and posted them all together at the Royal Mail Service. The guy said that he needed to frank them but to leave them with him. We paid. We left. And now, over a month later, not a single one has arrived, despite being sent to the US, Canada, Australia and the UK. Seems kinda coincidental, doesn't it? Something tells me that not a single one was franked, and these were utterly irreplaceable. Heartbreaking.
