Editorial review from Citysearch 2/4/2013

This is a warning to anyone who would consider using this service. I was charged more than $150 for a package they sent by USPS postage at a cost of $67.44. Obviously anyone can see that is a rip-off. Here is the reply from the owner: \r \r We will not be able to provide any refund. The route you went with WAS indeed the cheapest route that we could provide for you at Royal Mail. I told you how much it costed, you accepted. I recommend that next time you decide to mail something, you go straight to the Post Office, and do so. That way you don't have to pay an overhead. I can't stress this enough. You did not get cheated, you did not get ripped off, these are our prices, and I have no problem telling anyone that, because we need to stay in business. I'm sorry, if you want the cheapest, you need to go to the source. You can't go to a convience store and buy a gallon of milk for the same price you would at a grocery store. I'm not sure what you think you need to do, but as I said before, i encourage it. \r \r So, take the owner's advice, and go to the Post Office!!!! more

Magnificent! 5/30/2011

I have been renting a mailbox at Royal Mail for more than a decade, and used them for mailing letters and parcels for ~19 years now.\r \r The staff is both competent and friendly. They are skilled professionals without being stiff or rigid with fake smiles.\r \r I have watched them be polite to real idiots. They keep their cool under pressure.\r \r The few times I have had a problem, the staff resolved the problem quickly and painlessly. more

WORST MAIL EVER. F&%*ING IDIOTS. SCAM 3/22/2011

GOD I wish i could give this place no stars. Had packages dropped off there and was told that they would ship fedex ground. I filled out a slip and wasn't told that i would prepay for ground instead of it posting to my fedex account. So the f*&^ers, instead of calling me (as they said they would if any problems were to occur) to run my card for fedex send it overnight at a overall cost of 230 dollars to me. Then when i call they won't even help and refuse to take responsibility for their bull&@#t. stay away from these idiots. This is soooo typical of service within much of the french quarter. They don't care about service at all. They're just lazy twats that think they can have your money anyway. more

38 postcards haven't arrived...seems suspicious? 6/20/2010

My husband and I spent three weeks travelling from NYC to New Orleans as part of a long-awaited honeymoon funded by the guests at our wedding. Throughout the trip, we bought 38 postcards, one for each guest who had helped us on our way. Saving them all up, we arrived at New Orleans and posted them all together at the Royal Mail Service. The guy said that he needed to frank them but to leave them with him. We paid. We left. And now, over a month later, not a single one has arrived, despite being sent to the US, Canada, Australia and the UK. Seems kinda coincidental, doesn't it? Something tells me that not a single one was franked, and these were utterly irreplaceable. Heartbreaking. Pros: Location Cons: Suspect theft more
