I headed to Tonic East for a friend's birthday at about 6 on a Friday evening. We wanted to sit on the roof because it was a beautiful spring day but were told that their happy hour deals ($3 well drinks!) were not applicable on the roof. We moved downstairs and sat near the front windows (it was almost like being on the roof....) and were told that we were not allowed to order from the bar, we needed to order from the cocktail waitress. After ordering one round, the waitress disappeared for nearly 30 minutes - until happy hour was almost over! Thank goodness our bill was so minimal or we would have been cranky! This is a great place to head for after work drinks, but I'd advise buying drinks at the downstairs bar and carrying them up to the roof :}
