I recently purchased a 2003 Discovery II from a local dealer. As is often the case it was shiny on the outside but after a visit to Columbia Rover I found it needed some love (head gasket). I admit I was nervous since I knew little about Columbia Rover just that I had driven by it a million times. I know how important it is to have a mechanic and shop you can trust since cars these days are too complicated to work on your self. Before moving to Portland I had a few trusted shops to work on my cars and I only hoped that I could find the same here.
To my delight I found that Brent and the guys at Columbia fit the bill. Brent gave it to me straight he gave me good advise and was very straight forward to deal with. I have gone back one time so far for a simple oil change and they continue to look after me.
